Fire Station Studios

The Fire Station Studios facility, opened in 1985, is located near campus at 244 N. Guadalupe Street and is available for both Texas State and non-Texas State persons to rent for commercial purposes. The Studio houses the School of Music’s Sound Recording Technology program and contains two recording studios, one film/video audio post-production suite, and one mix room.

Fire Station Studios specializes in recording live bands & ensembles. Other notable features include: a 9′ Kawai concert grand piano, fully automated SSL Duality SE mixing console, personal Hear Back monitoring, and a large microphone selection.
