Application Requirements
Two songs in differing styles
Sing anything that shows us your voice. This includes but is not limited to songs in French, Italian, English, or German. You may sing an aria, art song, music theatre song, pop, etc.
You may sing with accompaniment track or no track.
We must have a clear view of the singer in the audition tape. This does not need to be full body view, just a clear view of the singer.
COVID Protocols
Masks: We cannot require you to wear or take off your mask at Texas State University. Consequently, you should plan on either not wearing a mask or wearing a mask around others who are not.
Group Size: We cap the camp at 20 singers. Because of the limited number of students distancing is easily accommodated for those who desire to socially distance.
Temps: We will take daily temperature checks.
Other Safety Measures: Air filters in rooms or other desired measures will be accommodated as requested and as resources allow.

Reviews
“Thank you so much for making this program a blast, although it was online. I enjoyed it so much!!”
“I had such an amazing time and I grew so much as a performer. Most importantly, I was able to achieve my short term goal of loosening up and having fun! All the teachers and other participants were very kind and supportive, and I am thankful to have made some awesome friends. I have no criticism for this camp!”
“I just really liked the overall positive energy the participants in the camp gave off!”
FAQS
What are the Dates?
July 17-23, 2022
When will I know I have been accepted into the program?
You can expect an acceptance letter no later than May 16, 2022.
Who can apply?
Incoming High School Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes as well as recent 2022 High School graduates can apply for our program.
What scenes/music will the students be performing?
After viewing submission videos and hearing our applicants, we will choose repertoire that is appropriate for the students and their current vocal abilities. We will put together a program of music that fits our students’ needs and will help them grow rather than pre-assign music that could be too difficult or even not challenging enough. The repertoire will be a mix of Musical Theater and Opera.
